History
The Bronzen Schietspoel Tournament is the oldest bowlingtournament in Holland. It started in 1973 as an little tournament in Tilburgs first bowlingcenter (Zuid-Ooster - 8 Schmidt lanes - wires).
In 1982 the tournament moved to a new location, the brand new Brimon bowlingcenter. This center had 16 state of the art synthetic Brunswick lanes and pinsetters and the Bronzen Schietspoel Tournament became a FIQ A-tournament.
In 2001 the bowlingcenter moved to a new location, as did the tournament. New lanes were installed, and 4 lanes and machines were added. In 2003 the tournament adopted a new format, and in 2004 the Bronzen Schietspoel was included in the European Bowling Tour. In the summer of 2004 the center replaced the old pinsetters with AMF machines.
In 2007 the Bronzen Schietspoel Tournament became the worlds first Dual Lane Condition bowlingtournament, and a very popular stop on the EBT.
